The Festival du Confolens attracts

each summer,. This small sub-prefecture of 3000 inhabitants organized since 1957 is the most famous festival of folk dance and music of the world
During six days, through the magic of the festival, 450 young artists from five continents plus 400 volunteers all work together to offer you the most beautiful festival of smiles and joy in the picturesque town of Confolens, Charente.

La Maison Maria Casarès! Maria Casares, a Franco-Spanish actress bought the Domaine de la Vergne in 1961, On her death in 1961, Maria Casares bequeathed it to the town of Alloue.During the summer, the estate is open to tourists, offering a program based around
theatre, gastronomy and heritage. After the show a chef creates a menu based on local products and the themes of the show.

Every year since 1939 the French town of Angouleme hosts the famous "Circuit des Remparts" race weekend. An international tourist ralley through the picturesque French countryside, as well as a whole day of vintage and classic car racing around the historic walled tower in the old town of Angouleme
At the Fête du Cognac, you can taste many local culinary products. Melons, oysters, mussels, cagoes, meat or cheese, from starter to dessert, your evenings will be rich in discovering flavors.
The event offers a discovery of wine products from a more festive angle with many cocktails to enjoy on site. But the Fête du Cognac also makes you go beyond local borders through its musical proposal. Each evening, 2 or 3 concerts of artists with varied musical genres complete its festive and friendly atmosphere.
Since its creation in 1994 the Cognac Blues Festival, the festival has been held in the heart of the city of Cognac within its public garden.
A classified site since 1943, the
public garden offers to festival-goers a friendly environment allowing them to make the most of the concerts but also to spend the day strolling through it's
wooded alley ways.
Every September the small Charentais village of Barro hosts a
photo reportage festival.
Barrobjectif
was created by a small group of photography enthusiasts, eager to offer a
cultural event in a rural environment. The event offers around
20 open air photo exhibitions in the streets, on the walls of houses, in the trees and gardens, in the square and even in the water on the river Charente. In all nearly 600 images are presented.
Visited by nearly 15,000 people each year it is a must see.
